All my life I have had a very keen interest in photography, when I became involved in competitive flower arranging my interest became fixated on taking the pictures of the entries in the shows that fascinated me the most so much so that I now have boxes of printed photographs.

My husband being an IT nut eventually converted me to using digital photography, I can now store the pictures I take on the computer, a CD or a DVD. This allows me to scan the pictures or find any picture without filling the lounge with my previous number of albums.

As Photographic Officer this allowed me to bring to our members a number of new ideas for presenting the photographic history of Area Events and shows in DVD format or montage style We also offer individual prints in any size up to A4 for those who wish to maintain their own flower arranging historic records.

I try to arrange a yearly photographic competition for all members of Surrey Area. The classes allow both the serious photographer and the snapshot photographer to enter at least one class. See the competition page for further details.
